In early 2009, the Lord began to plant a seed of thought into the hearts of CCL Pastor, Brent Smith, and CCRM Pastor, Mike Murray. A thought of bringing theses separate churches into one fellowship. The brotherhood between these two pastors had started even back in the 80′s. They grew together as friends and in 1996, Mike and Brent planted a new Calvary Chapel in Whatcom county in Washington state.

The Lord eventually called them back to their roots in Canada and had them pastoring separate Calvary Chapels in neighboring towns. For a season the concept of a merge lay on the back burner. Then in July 2010, Pastor Mike felt God call him to return to the UK to church plant. The timing for such a venture in faith became bright and clear, the seed 2 years ago was sprouting, the time was now and so the Lord sovereignly began to work the exciting process of bringing these fellowships together.

This venture of faith began in the summer of 2010 with the unifying of the leadership of each perspective church into one team. Then began to unfold a beautiful work of God to replant and birth Riverside Calvary Chapel in late September of 2010. We look forward to seeing what God will do as we follow Him.
