Jesus Calls His First Disciples

After the baptism and temptation of Jesus, we now look at the message and mission of Jesus. We see Him calling His first disciples and we’ll look at the significance of this in light of the tradition of Jewish discipleship. Bible Text: Mark 1:14-20

Mark 1:1-5 – An Introduction to Mark

Each of the Gospel writers wrote to portray Jesus in a specific way. Matthew showed Jesus as the King. Luke showed Jesus as the Son of Man. John showed Jesus as the Son of God. But Mark wrote to show Jesus as the Suffering Servant. Jesus came not to be served, but to serve and give His life a ransom for all! Join us through this series as we explore our incredible Savior!
