Ecclesiastes

The Life Worth Living

Solomon concludes his discourse on life under the sun. He’s been seeing that it’s all vanity when lived apart from God. But life is not meant to be empty. Life is meant to be enjoyed when lived God’s way. We look at the life worth living in our wrap up of Ecclesiastes. Bible Text: Ecclesiastes 11-12

Planning, Pleasure, and Peace

The life of Wisdom is not a hard, mundane life. It’s a life recognizing that God’s ways are best. He’s the One in control, and we simply follow Him. When we do this we find it’s a life of pleasure and peace ultimately. Bible Text: Proverbs 21:1-31

The Right Way

Ecclesiastes

Grasping For The Wind

Solomon wrote the book of Ecclesiastes to reveal his findings as he lived life ‘under the sun’ or, for this world and apart from God. He found that it was all vanity – grasping for the wind. Only God brings any measure of pleasure and satisfaction. Bible Text: Ecclesiastes 1-2

And He Shall Reign Forever!

In this study we look at the resurrection of the two witnesses and the seventh angel sounding the last of the trumpet judgments which is a declaration of the Lord’s reign. Though things may be looking out of control, the reality is that God is in control and the very kingdoms of this world are being claimed back for Him and as His. Bible Text: Revelation 11:9-19

The Angel and the Book

John sees an angel come down and set his feet upon the land and sea. In his hand is a book that John is told to take and eat. Who is this angel and what is this book? We answer these questions and more as we look at this interlude between the 6th and 7th trumpet judgments. Bible Text: Revelation 10

1 John 2:1-11 – Walking In Jesus and Like Jesus

John lays out for us some wonderful news! We don’t have to sin, but if we do, we have an Advocate – Jesus. And He is with the Father standing on our behalf. He has cleansed us from our sin and now calls us into a life of fellowship with Him. And John lays out some tests for the believer to know that we know Him. Bible Text: 1 John 2:1-11

Stephen’s History Lesson – part 2

Stephen becomes the first martyr of the church as he lays out a masterful presentation of Israel’s history of rebellion and disobedience. His audience had no argument, so they resort to physical violence and murder. But Stephen was received graciously into eternity and glory. Bible Text: Acts 7:30-60
