Kids are important to Jesus and they’re important to us here at Riverside too. “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.’” (Matt. 19:14). Our desire is to help kids learn the Word of God and have fun doing so.
With this in mind we have Kids Church during our 9am service on Sundays and we have the following classes available each Sunday morning during our 11am service:
– Nursery for ages 0-3
– 3 years old – Preschool
– Kindergarten – Grade 2
– Grade 3 – Grade 5
(*Sunday School Teachers looking for lessons may go to the C.M. Worker’s Page. Thank you.)
Our Youth meet each Tuesday Night at 7pm for a time of fun and games, but more importantly, to grow in their relationship with Jesus. This is done through a time of worship and study through God’s Word. Youth is for grades 6 and up.
The Youth also meet twice a month on Sundays at Youth Church. On the second and fourth Sundays of the month at the 11:00am service, our youth dismiss at the break after worship and head to the Fellowship Hall for their own group study.
Please email our Youth Leader, Cole Smith if you have any questions.
Come and gather together with other young adults as we explore Scripture, see how it applies to our lives today, and have some fun hanging out together. Meets at 7pm on Thursdays.
Men’s Bible Study – Meets at 7pm on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month. The study is called “In The Trenches” and it is open to all guys as we seek to grow as Men of God!
Men’s Breakfast – Meets at 8am in the Fellowship Hall on the 3rd Saturday of each month. This is a great opportunity to come together, enjoy some great food, encourage one another in God’s Word, and spend some time in prayer.
Ladies Bible Study – Meets at 10am in the Fellowship Hall every Thursday. These are studies going through the Bible and are led by Cindy Lee. You are welcome to come at 9:30am for coffee and a time of fellowship.
Ladies Fellowship – Meets at 7pm on the 3rd Friday of each month. These nights are times of fun activities, fellowship, and growing together in the Lord.
Senior Adults Group
Meets at 10am every other Tuesday for a time of fellowship and sharing.
Stitch & Hook
This is a great opportunity to learn how to crochet or knit, or if you know how to crochet or knit already, we encourage you to join and help support local homeless shelters by making blankets. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own projects to work on too! Stitch & Hook meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm and on the second Friday of each month at 10am.
The RCC Sewing Bee group meets on the 3rd Saturday of the month from September until May. We sew from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m, with a short break for lunch. If you enjoy getting together with others to chat, cut, chat, sew, chat and serge then this group is for you! All supplies are provided. If you are a sewer, please bring your sewing machine or serger. There is a lot to do besides sewing so any help is welcome. Our purpose is to make feminine hygiene kits for young girls and women who do not attend school or work during their periods. Our kits are then sent to Grace Rwanda where they are distributed by our missionaries.
If you have any questions about either Stitch & Hook or the Sewing Bee, feel free to email Ann Wirtz.
