The Birth Of The Church
Acts 2 is a pivotal chapter in the Bible. It’s the beginning of the church and the issuing of the power they’ll need through the Holy Spirit to go with the gospel. We look today at the baptism of the Holy Spirit: what it is, what it means, and why we need Him.

The Night Visions
The work of rebuilding the temple was underway, but there was still some worry and doubt. The people were wondering: “Is God really going to see us through? Is God really leading us to do this?” Well, in a single night Zechariah receives 8 visions that are meant to encourage the people in Jerusalem and fill them with hope not only for their day, but for the future. God is indeed at work and will be their help! A great encouragement for us as well.

Power to Proclaim
The book of Acts is the continuation of the Gospel story. It began with Jesus and 12 guys and continues on through the Holy Spirit and the church. As we spend time in this book we’ll see the church taking the gospel through the world. It’s a work that is still going on in our day so it’s a very applicable book for us. This study focuses on Jesus’ last instructions and the power available to be witnesses for Him.

A Fresh Start
Some of the people of Israel have returned home from their captivity in Babylon and are now faced with a monumental task of rebuilding the temple. When opposition set in the work stopped and many of them just moved on to focus on their own lives. It was a discouraged and despondent group. But they were missing out on the blessings of God because of their apathy. So here in the beginning of Zechariah we hear God calling out to return to Him. It’s one of the greatest invitations in Scripture. We are invited to turn ourselves to a holy God. And as we do, we will find Him and be blessed.
The book of Zechariah is meant to bring encouragement to the people as they see that God is still for them and is doing a work among them.

Jesus Is Alive, Are You?
Was Mark 16:9-20 a part of Mark’s original writing? We take a look at this to begin and then get into what is said in these verses and how they are a call to us to follow today.

Significant Insignificance
The fact that Jesus stepped out of heaven to come to this world to save us is amazing enough. But how He did it and the things or people He used spoke of bringing such significance to that which was often overlooked. There’s great encouragement for us today as we look at these things in this message.
Questioning God’s Goodness – Part 3
We conclude the book of Malachi looking at this debate between God and the people of Israel continue to unfold. God is calling them back to faithfulness, as He reveals His faithfulness to them.

The Resurrection of Jesus
We look at the scene going on at the empty tomb as the women come to anoint Jesus’ body. They’re startled and amazed as they learn that Jesus has risen! May we too be amazed as we look in at the empty tomb – Jesus is alive!

Questioning God’s Goodness – Part 1
God speaks out to the people a number of years after they have returned from exile. Sadly they have slipped back into ways of sin and rebellion. God calls out to them through the prophet Malachi and their response is one of questioning – ‘What are you taking about?’ So we witness this debate unfold ultimately so that God can led them back to a right relationship with Him.

Jesus: Man for all Mankind
We look at the civil trial that Jesus undergoes as the Jews seek to bring Him to Pilate, the Roman authority, so that he would find fault and issue the death penalty. Pilate however marvels at such a Man who endured so much and kept moving with a resolved focus of the cross.
