The Blessed life that Jesus points out is so foreign and contrary to what the world values. It’s even more so today. But Jesus lays out this Kingdom Way to show us the path to the blessed and happy life. Are you feeling blessed today? Israel had to be conquered by God before they could go and conquer. God’s conquering comes by our dying to the flesh. When we die to the flesh and live in the Spirit, we can walk in victory. That’s the book of Joshua.

For to live is to preach the good news of Jesus and bring many more into the kingdom of God, but to die is to live eternity with the Saviour whom he loved. We can often feel like we’re just going in circles with little hope. But in the process God is teaching us to walk by faith and walk in obedience. Be courageous in fighting against the enemy and endure to the end because the walls will eventually come down when we recognize it’s not by our effort or strategy but by the Lord alone!
