Paul reminds Timothy that within the house of God there will exist servants that will serve in honor, and some in dishonor. The charge is to purify ourselves from that which is fleshly and pursue that which is spiritual. Then we’ll be vessels of honor.

Paul encourages Timothy to continue with perseverance regardless of the challenges that may lay in front of him. Endurance is necessary but the outcome is glorious. It’s a word for us to be strong, sustained, secure and steadfast in the things of God and the things we do for God.
