The book of Judges is like the Dark Ages of Israel’s history. It’s summed up in this verse: “In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” And yet through Israel’s unfaithfulness, we see the amazing faithfulness of God. Though there was compromise, God showed compassion.
