The Davidic Covenant | 2 Samuel 7 | Brent Smith

In 2 Samuel 7, King David expresses his desire to build a permanent temple for God, noting that the Ark of the Covenant is housed in a tent. God redirects David, promising instead to build a “house” for David. This covenant promises that David’s descendants will rule, his son will build the temple, and his throne will be established eternally—a prophecy ultimately fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

Guarding The Gospel | 1 Timothy 1:1-11 | Brent Smith

Paul charges Timothy to combat false teachers in Ephesus who are peddling myths and useless speculations, diverging from the true gospel. Paul emphasizes that sound doctrine promotes love from a pure heart, not trivial arguments, and clarifies that the law serves to convict sinners, supporting the gospel.

Have you ever had someone promise you something and then they never kept it? That can be a real disappointment that challenges you to ever trust that person again. Well, God’s a promise keeping God. And one of the promises He has made is to not only give His Son as a Saviour, but for Jesus to be raised from the dead.
