2 Chronicles 20:13-37 – Let The Lord Fight Your Battles

As Judah sees the enemy approaching, God has an amazing word for them: “Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” We often forget that God is for us, and if God is for us who can be against us. Do we rest in that truth or do we frantically try to fight opposition on our own?

2 Chronicles 18:18-20:12 – God Is In Control

Often times when we experience battles and problems, we can tend to freak out a little over it. We get fixated on the difficulties and fear sets in. What we need to realize is that God is in control. We need to get our eyes on Him and trust Him in each situation. We see the example of that so clearly in this study of 2 Chronicles.

2 Chronicles 17:1-18:17 – Jehoshaphat’s Juxtaposition

Jehoshaphat comes onto the scene as Judah’s next king. He too is a Godly king who brings great reforms. But he ends up entering into an alliance with evil king Ahab of Israel. The two are like oil and water, they don’t mix. We’ll look at a number of lessons to be learned from their lives.

2 Chronicles 15-16 – Stay Strong In The Lord

Asa is given a great exhortation: “be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!” That’s hard to do, but it simply requires living dependent lives in Jesus. We learn the importance of staying dependent on the Lord and remaining strong in Him.

2 Chronicles 14 – Lord, It Is Nothing For You

Asa is the new king of Judah and he turns things around. He directs people back to the Lord and they are greatly blessed. As an army of a million soldiers comes against them, Asa has such confidence in the Lord, that he calls out and says, ‘Lord, it is nothing for you to help!’ We learn some great lessons and application for us today through Asa’s example.

2 Chronicles 12-13 – Flailing Or Fortified?

As the divided kingdoms of Israel continue to struggle, Rehoboam in the south starts getting a little comfortable in what he has established for himself and he forsakes the Lord. And it’s then that the enemy comes in and takes everything. Rehoboam had been busy fortifying the cities, but he should have focussed on fortifying himself and the nation in the Lord.

2 Chronicles 11 – Fighting The Right Fight

How do you respond when things aren’t going your way? Do you seek to do battle in the flesh, or do you walk in the Spirit and trust the Lord? Rehoboam was ready to fight in the flesh and go against his own brethren until the Lord stopped him. We have to be led of the Lord and sure that we’re not fighting the wrong fight.

2 Chronicles – 8:12-9:31 – Solomon’s Conclusion

In this study we look at the summary of Solomon’s life. He did a great work for the Lord and advanced the kingdom of Israel, but what God really wanted was his heart. Solomon operated with a divided heart. He compromised and it led to a great downfall. We look at the conclusion that Solomon came to as he looked over all his accomplishments and assets.

2 Chronicles 7:1-8:11 – Conditions For Renewal

The Lord comes and responds to Solomon after his great prayer at the dedication of the temple. And the Lord lays out some specific actions for the people that will bring about forgiveness and healing. They are key to revival and renewal. Listen in as we see what they are.

2 Chronicles 5:1-6:11 – More Precious Than Gold

Pete Jansen shares from 2 Chronicles as we look at the ark of the covenant being brought into the temple. There was a great processional taking place. Yet with all the glory and greatness of the temple, God wasn’t in these things. Did is the One who is to be worshiped and praised.
