Paul & Peter – Men on Mission!

After getting saved Paul is prepared for service. Though he would face obstacles, he presses on in all that God has for him. Peter also is prepared for service. The Lord moves him along in ministry and positions him in a place where the Gospel will about to be launched to an entire group of people that were otherwise written off – the Gentiles. Bibel Text: Acts 9:20-43

Jesus Changes Lives

Two people from very different backgrounds are introduced to Jesus. The results however are the same – changed lives! There is power in the gospel unto salvation. Bibel Text: Acts 8:26-9:19

The Gospel Goes To Samaria

As the church is established in Jerusalem, persecution sets in. But it’s all according to God’s plan as it’s what was needed to get the church on the move. Sometimes the Lord allows things to shake us up, but it’s so we don’t get too settled in our ways. When you feel shaken, look to see what God wants to do through it. Today’s study shows that God indeed had great things in store through this time of trial. Bibel Text: Acts 8:1-25

Stephen’s History Lesson – part 2

Stephen becomes the first martyr of the church as he lays out a masterful presentation of Israel’s history of rebellion and disobedience. His audience had no argument, so they resort to physical violence and murder. But Stephen was received graciously into eternity and glory. Bible Text: Acts 7:30-60

Stephen’s History Lesson – part 1

Stephen is accused of speaking against Moses, the temple, and their law. But Stephen takes his opponents through a masterful walk through their history to show that God is not exclusive to working in their temple or even their own land. And in so doing he reveals that their own fathers had a habit of rejecting those God sent to carry out His work. The very thing his detractors had done with Jesus. Bible Text: Acts 7:1-29

A Few Good Men

As opposition continues against the church, the Lord raises up some people to speak and serve. And through it a possible division is averted. We must realize that difficulty will come, even in a seeming perfect church. This study gives us some good wisdom of how to handle these things when they do come. Bible Text: Acts 5:33-6:15

Who Are You Serving?

As the church continues to prosper we see some good things happening and some not so good things happening. Through this we see some examples from different people and who they were living for. It’s a chance for us to take a look at what’s driving us and who are we truly serving? Bible TExt: Acts 4:32-5:32

Persecution, Prayer, and Power

As the church continues to go out with the gospel, opposition begins to set in. Take a look at how Peter, John and the church handle this onset of persecution. Bible Text: Acts 4:1-31

The Ministry Begins

As the church is now brought together and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we see the church now launched out into ministry. In this study we look at a miracle and a message. The miracle reveals the condition of man and the need for the gospel, and the message reveals that it’s all about Jesus! Bible Text: Acts 3:1-26

The Message and Model Of The Church

Peter continues to share with the onlookers there at Pentecost and explain to them what is going on. We’re seeing the birth of the church as the Holy Spirit is poured out. In our message today we look at the message of the church and the model of this early church. The message was all about Jesus, and the model of the church centred on simplicity. Bible Text: Acts 2:22-47

The Birth Of The Church

Acts 2 is a pivotal chapter in the Bible. It’s the beginning of the church and the issuing of the power they’ll need through the Holy Spirit to go with the gospel. We look today at the baptism of the Holy Spirit: what it is, what it means, and why we need Him. Bible Text: Acts 2:1-21

Power to Proclaim

The book of Acts is the continuation of the Gospel story. It began with Jesus and 12 guys and continues on through the Holy Spirit and the church. As we spend time in this book we’ll see the church taking the gospel through the world. It’s a work that is still going on in our day so it’s a very applicable book for us. This study focuses on Jesus’ last instructions and the power available to be witnesses for Him. Bible Text: Acts 1:1-26
