Job 6-9 – Job & Bildad Speak

The discussion between Job and his friends continues on. Their theory is that Job must have sinned, that’s why God is punishing him like this. That however couldn’t be further from the truth. We explore what is going on and how we should handle times of suffering. Bible Text: Job 6-9

Job 1-2 – Tests, Trials and Trust

We begin our study through the book of Job looking at the Sovereignty of God and the importance of trusting Him. We don’t always know what is happening behind the scenes as is evident in these chapters. Our lives will either exist to bring glory to God or bolster the enemies work. Bible Text: Job 1:1-2:13

Preserved and Praising

We meet up with the 144,000 sealed saints we first saw in Revelation 7. This time they’re standing with the Lamb – Jesus Christ. They’ve been preserved through the Tribulation and are responding rightly in praise before Him. It’s the response we all can have for what Jesus has already done for us. Bible Text: Revelation 14:1-5

Here Comes Trouble – part 2

Revelation 13 introduces us to two beasts. They are the antichrist and the false prophet. In this study we look at the false prophet and his focus and program during these end times of trouble. Bible Text: Revelation 13:11-18
Jeremiah Study

A Future and a Hope

Jeremiah writes a letter to the captives in Babylon to encourage them in the situation they are in. God has a word for them that His plans are of peace and not of evil. His plans are to give them a future and a hope. This word is a comforting one for all those who are going through times of uncertainty and difficulty. God is working out His good and perfect purposes in it all. Bible Text: Jeremiah 29

Acts 27 – Staying Safe In Storms

Paul is on his way to Rome, but this is no Mediterranean cruise. There’s some rough waters that Paul and the crew must navigate. But in this we see that God is ultimately in control. God will bring them to safety – but the key is to stay in the ship. Bible Text: Acts 27:1-44

Acts 25 – Paul’s Defense Before Festus

After having to stand before Felix in chapter 24, another 2 years passes by before Paul has to go through it all again with Festus, the new Roman governor. It can be enough to break a person – unless that person is living completely for Jesus. This is what we see with Paul as he rests and relies on the Lord. Bible Text: Acts 25:1-27

Acts 23 – When Your Back’s Against The Wall

Things are getting increasingly more chaotic for Paul. Rejected, beaten, imprisoned, and a group of assassins taking an oath to kill him. Things aren’t going his way it would seem. Yet through it all we see God’s providential care time and time again. Jesus even comes to encourage Paul in jail and let’s him know He’s not done with him yet. What a great reminder that if God is for us, who can be against us. Bible Text: Acts 23:1-35

Trusting God in Tough Times

We’ve all experienced difficulty I’m sure. Even times where we wonder where God is or what He’s doing? Yet it’s in these times that we need to trust the Lord all the more. Because He is with us and will help us. “In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, for You will answer me.” – Psalm 86:7 Bible Text: Psalms 86-88

The Gospel Goes To Samaria

As the church is established in Jerusalem, persecution sets in. But it’s all according to God’s plan as it’s what was needed to get the church on the move. Sometimes the Lord allows things to shake us up, but it’s so we don’t get too settled in our ways. When you feel shaken, look to see what God wants to do through it. Today’s study shows that God indeed had great things in store through this time of trial. Bibel Text: Acts 8:1-25
