Abraham is known as the Father of Faith, and that faith was tested at times, but nothing like what he had to go through in Genesis 22. But God was inviting him in to a most incredible experience of seeing what God Himself would do for all of us. The Bible once again weaves that scarlet thread through this encounter with Abraham and Isaac and points to the incredible work Jesus would do for the whole world on the cross at Calvary. What an incredible foreshadowing we have in this chapter as we see the Gospel in Genesis.
